homework 3

1.
what choices did you made with your group to make one of these articles into an East End Tale? Why?

How did you make the new tale you created like the tales in the play?

Which character did you play and how?

What theatre skills did you use to  perform the tale?

My group got a story about a gang that threw fireworks at a moving police car, we decided to zoom in on one part of the story, we chose to pick up on one boy whose mum didnt know where he was and a police offcier turned up on her door to give the news that he had been involved in the incident. We made it into a tale by using sound, rhythm and movement. I played the mum and a gang member. I played both by using freeze frames. At the start i was talking to my friend and walked into my house next a police officer came in and as he went to tell me what happened we showed it. We used split stage, silence and freeze frames. At the end we alos used mime to create tension and upset.

2.
You then worked on your EET in your group. Answer the following:

How did you bring the location of your tale to life with sound and movement?

How did you communicate the characters?

How did you use the text of EET in this work?

We used sound and movement at different times. It is Logan, Amaia, Gloria and Chris in my group, logan has crutches at the moment so we placed him in the middle and started of with fast movement aroud him then we used clicking sounds to create the sounds of raindrops. we then moved to a bar by doing this we picked out key things you hear and see in at a pub such as glasses hitting the tables smoking drunk movement. We communicated the characters by using our bodies such as showing a soft gentle ladie wrapped warm closed up and the sly man with broad shoulders. We used it by picking key paragraphs and reading outloud while acting what is being said by using the space around and sound.
